Are the Dodgers done?  I know Arizona is playing above their talent level however, the Dodgers appear listless to me.  Their lineup is very dependent on Betts and Freeman, they don't have the depth of the Braves lineup.  You shut down 1 and 2 and there's really no one else that can hurt you.

They scored 900 runs this year and had 8 hitters at 115 wRC+ or better.

But as Dodgers fans have pointed out - over their last 6 postseason games they are averaging under 3 runs per game. They're really just choking.

That Braves/Phillies ending last night was incredible.  I wouldn't say I'm rooting for Philly but I love watching their home playoffs games with that insane crowd and fun players.

Great to finally get some DRAMA in these playoffs too.  Hopefully we get another good one tonight.

It won't happen, but you could keep the existing format and solve a fair number of competitive problems if the wild card round was a double header with a winner take all game the next day if necessary.  You restore the stakes where every day can lead to elimination, you emphasize depth and mirror the regular season better, and if you limit post-WC rest, then you sufficiently handicap those teams for the divisional round and better incentivize a top 2 record.

Ooh, this idea is completely bat-horsefeathers insane. I like it.

I hate how they stagger these games out.  Today games at 3:07 and 7:03.  Why not 5 and 8? or 6 and 8 even, who cares if there's 45 minutes of overlap?  I'll likely not watch any of the 3:00 game but would if it started at 6.  Maybe there's an obvious reason I'm missing.

I want the Braves to lose so badly, this season has turned me on them and their fans.  Despite that, I was pretty hyped up to see that game ending play.  Really memorable cool ending.

Is that a bad read by Harper or do you guys think most players would have done the same? It became pretty apparent at home (lol) that Harris had a good chance to make a play on the ball. Such high stakes for Harper to go so far past 2nd.

Granderson had a really good point in the postgame that part of the reason Harris got to the ball was it was a no-doubles situation, and that if Harper had read the outfield prior he probably wouldn't have made such an aggressive turn.  He may not have gotten back anyway with a perfect relay, but it was far from a perfect relay and he was out by a step.

They were likely going to go as their SP went. Kershaw was really good this year but it's 50-50 on what he's going to do in the playoffs. After that, well...

Love seeing the top teams getting eliminated. Hope the Braves and Dodgers are next.

Let’s go underdogs!

Despite winning 101 games or whatever, Baltimore still felt like an underdog.  I'm sad they were eliminated.  Hopefully they get 2-3 more years together before Angelos decides their arb years are getting too costly and breaks apart the team

They still have a couple waves of elite prospects coming through. I think it would have been cool to see Hyde win but they just didn't have the pitching. Texas wore that staff out, ground them to dust.
