Two games left to make some hay against the Pirates before the Cubs move on to their real test of the final month of the season, the Brewers.

If Assad continues to establish himself, that's pretty huge for the Cubs both in the coming weeks but also the coming seasons as a back-of-the-rotation arm.

Anyone looked under the hood on Assad? Seems like a candidate to regress just based on his inability to miss bats.  

Would obviously love for him to be a thing.

I noticed the other day that his FIP since becoming a starter is 5.40 vs a 2.86 ERA which is less than ideal

I like Wicks tonight to go 4 without giving up more than 2.  A prospect I don't normally love, yet I do.  Maybe it's ego but I'm a fan.

With Tauchman's struggles lately,  5 for last 39, you think they might consider going to PCA come September 1st or maybe go back to Mervis at 1B ?
