Said it before but Wisdom's numbers have actually been insane since he returned from injury, He has a 150 BABIP or something but a 400 ISO and a managable K rate.

That was misguided by Nico getting into that position, and really dumb going all the way to third base and giving Morel no chance to do anything.

Why in the hell would Nico run to 3rd when Morel is trapped between 3rd and home?  Probably weren’t getting out of it anyways, but you are 100% not getting out of it if two players are standing on 3rd. Were they trying to force the royals to make a mistake and throw to 3rd to get Nico out allowing Morel to score before he was tagged?  I don’t get it

I’d have to see a better angle but Morel going so far off third might have been bad too. It looked like Nico might have had a chance to make it to 2nd but Perez ran at Morel when he was too far off the bad.

Not sure what Morel was doing,  he could of easily gotten back to 3rd but instead hesitated and took off for home, could of had 2nd and 3rd for Happ

Given the infield adventures the Royals have had I don't hate the aggressiveness of forcing the issue, I just have to think his brain flipped into less than 2 out mode once Morel was caught because I can't think of why he'd think going to 3rd was a good idea.

100% agreed. You want him there with 0-2 outs. Kinda poorly run by both players. Morel needed to wait until the rundown developed for Nico.
