RIP Bagent hype train

From what I’m reading he had a perfect TD pass that was dropped but is 4-10 for 18 yards with an INT, fumble and 2 sacks

He also had a completed pass to Kmet called back on an OPI by Scott and another pass that went right off Tonyan’s hands. He hasn’t looked as good today, but I think better than the numbers might indicate.

He’s also still in the game which I wasn’t expecting. Seems like they are giving him all the opportunity in the world to prove that he should be QB2

Yep, Another nice ball to Webster that that the DB popped out with his helmet. TBH I thought it should’ve been a completed pass and a fumble but it’ll go down as an incomplete pass. Followed up with a nice completion to Webster for a first.

I didn’t see the fumble you mentioned but the INT was bad. Seemed like a total miscommunication between him and the WR.

Absolute dime down the seam. One of the TEs that's going to be cut dove for it for some reason and dropped it when he hit the ground.

I missed a lot of this game but I’m watching the replay right now.   He looked really good to me on a couple drives.  If anything I feel like he somewhat confirmed his potential IMO.  He’s quick and decisive with the ball, he’s athletic, and he’s fearless.  I don’t know if he’s QB2 but I think the Bears would be wise to try to keep him around.

I am so ready for this season and an end to the BS once and for all.  I think Fields is legitimately capable of living up to the MVP hype and also capable of flaming out completely. I just want it settled one way or the other.

I saw a guy with a Bagent jersey at my son's baseball game today.  Actually, it was an old Bears #17 jersey (probably Alshon Jeffrey) with "Bagent" taped over the nameplate, but that still counts.

So what are the biggest roster decisions the Bears have to make this week?  I was expecting raw to have a full write up already. Come on man you’re slacking 😂

I think the biggest roster decisions are basically, if the Bears are fine with their guys or if they see better guys on waivers. #1 waiver priority and last year they claimed 6. I wouldn't be surprised to see them go after a S, CB, and OL.

With Leatherwood gone, do they keep Patrick and Kramer, basically giving them 3 Cs? I wouldn't be surprised if Patrick is cut. They penciled him in to start at C, with Jenkins out, but he has practiced like 20 times in the 2 years on the roster, and has only played 10 snaps at C.

Pass rusher seems pretty done with Gipson asking for a trade.

RB is if they take 3 or 4.

Why would we trade Mooney? I sure hope that means Claypool is good to go.

I don't really get it either because Scott didn't look so good in preseason.

And Pettis is out for the season.  Not that we were counting on Pettis for much this year but additional WR depth issues.  Webster did look pretty good in the preseason, albeit against opponents 3rd teams, but they seemed to have some plays in place to specifically take advantage of his speed.

So we're looking at Moore - Claypool - Scott - ESB - Velus - Webster

One stud, one oft-injured question mark, 1 4th round rookie, 1 journeymn, 1 2nd year guy who fumbles all the time and 1 journeyman with speed.  Seems suboptimal, especially how thin we look if/when Claypool misses time.

it certainly takes a strong wr group and returns it right back to pretty mediocre.

I know Kyle posted about Fields. I think equally, almost, is what kind of team have they built, can they build? I think the jury is still very much out there.

I just saw the Bagent news on Rotoworld, and thought, "Why do I know that name?"  I actually watched him play against my alma mater last year in the DII playoffs.  He threw 2 INT and 0 TDs for 165 yards on 38 attempts with 8 sacks, losing 44-13.
