Really tired of Ross letting every pitcher throw to failure. You can take a guy out before he gives up runs.

Counterpoint: It would help if the $68 Million starting pitcher could make it through the 3rd inning.

Assad was great. Don’t know why Ross thought it was a good idea to throw him a 6th relief inning the third time through the order when he’s not even fully stretched out.

you’re not serious about winning baseball games if eric hosmer is your DH. it’s really that simple.

if you think eric hosmer should be your DH, you’re bad at evaluating baseball players. if eric hosmer really is your best option at DH, you have put together a bad roster.

Hosmer provides minimal defensive value, so essentially his ONLY purpose is to hit.  I bet there are several guys who are out of baseball who could come in solely as a DH and easily outperform Hosmer. What is Pujols doing these days?

9 of the last 10 Cubs losses have been by 1 or 2 runs. The other loss was by 3 runs. So what’s missing?

Bad luck, bad managing, offense not good enough?

I saw something about how the Cubs RA over their first 17 games (11-6) is virtually identical to their next 19 games (6-13). The difference is the offense went from averaging 6.6 runs per game to 3.8 runs per game

We just had a game like two days ago where people were mad at Ross for not leaving Assad in when he was deaing.

There's no good way to manage a mediocre pitching staff.

It's not the same circumstances. Assad was on his 4th inning in a close game.
