As people said coming into the year the Cubs are gonna play a lot of low scoring games. You hope that defense and pitching is good enough to compensate for what is likely a bad offense.

I think it'll be fine when the weather warms up.  The problem is aside from Rios and Wisdom who are one-dimensional power goofs, there's nobody you'd expect to be able to hit it out regularly in these cold April games.  And it's, even when things are going well, not going to be a great OBP lineup.

There’s just not really a single guy in the lineup that is a legitimately good hitter AND has good power. We have a few legitimately good hitters but they’re not particularly great power hitters. Swanson and Happ are solid but not middle of the order power solid. Then we have some power bats like Rios and Wisdom but they’re not particularly good hitters

Pat Hughes is in mid-season form. Coomer, on the other hand, is not adjusting to the new pitch clock, as he mumbles his way through nonsense and we miss 3 pitches

Williams' velo was down in the WBC too.  It's April 1st so not a red alert deal, but I would be moderately worried if I was a Brewers fan.

Maybe don’t try to pull a pitch that’s three inches off the plate outside, Bellinger.

He's never had an oppo swing and I'm not sure how I'd even design one for him, given his setup and bat path, but it's a PROBLEM, man.

It's not really overreacting on two games when he OPS'd .542 and .654 the last two seasons

I was willing to give him a few weeks to see if a 27 year old former MVP could find his form again. And I still will. But initial results are not encouraging
