I can’t say it wasn’t a penalty but I can say that type of contact is often not called. I’d wager you could go back play-by-play in this game and find similar contact, uncalled.

It's like in hockey, you may see hooks all game, but they'll call it when you hook the guy who has the puck as he's trying to get a shot off.

It wasn't just the jersey tug, it was where and when it happened

Just watched it again this morning thinking I’d reconsider.

I still horsefeathering hate that call.

I agree, while by letter of the law it was a penalty, the ref essentially ended the game right there. KC was the better team but what an awful way to end a great SB.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of the call I think we can agree on this. Would have been fun to see it play out with Philly getting the ball back with just under 2 minutes left.

I cannot agree on this. It was an entertaining game that ended with disappointed Philly fans. That’s all I could hope for and more

If it’s going to happen, let it happen to Philly. That’s what I always say.

I agree, it's always nice to know Philly fans are disappointed

KC’s offense broke down Philly’s D so badly if I hadn’t seen them the rest of the season I would have thought they were mediocre.

It was definitely a fun SB regardless of the last call by the refs. I was thinking this is going to be an OT game for the ages. It didn’t happen, that’s disappointing to me, but that one call doesn’t mean I think KC stole the game or anything.

Eagles benefited from two questionable reviews, don’t sour grapes this nonsense by saying the refs ended the game.

Didn't the most questionable review go against Philly by bringing that catch back?

I thought the other two reviews were obvious calls.

As for the penalty at the end, yeah it's sad that it hurt the entertainment value of the game on a call that is sometimes missed. And I haven't seen great video of what was described. But what was described by both the referee and the Eagles defender is a pretty clear foul that changes the play.

I think the pass was probably uncatchable, even if he isn't touched, considering Juju's lack of speed, I doubt he gets there. But a holding call is pre-throw and that doesn't factor into the penalty. The flag was thrown really late, but it was the right call.

That was my biggest beef really. That flag was soooooo late. It was ticky tack anyway, but the late flag made it even worse in my view.

Also, it's clear none of you know any KC fans. They're incredibly obnoxious and STL keeps getting more of them since it's a Missouri team and the Rams aren't here anymore. Barf. I was rooting for Philly solely for that reason because KC is super fun to watch.

I don't know what everyone's betting app of choice is, but BetRivers currently has the Bears as +10,000 to win next year's Superbowl. It feels like free money to park a couple hundred bucks in there and cash out in three months after the Bears have made a bunch of offseason noise and sit at like +3000 or +4000.

I think it’s a shame the game virtually ended on that call, I don’t think it completely and totally swung the game, KC was definitely the better team and had momentum on their side, but it’s a shame the game has to end on that. It also robbed us of a fun ending drive for dramas sake.

It was also a fairy physical game up to that point, not a lot of flags thrown in general, so it really stuck out that one was throw there. Ah well.

Great game otherwise. The ads were overall pretty disappointing.

people saying this would've been an all-timer classic SB without the holding call are really overselling it, the Eagles were playing boring rugby most of the night, 17 play/60-yard drives should not be anyone's ideal football experience

i'd also really love a moratorium on "nobody believed in us" speeches after Kelce's constant idiotic ranting and all of the UGA stupid hissy fits about everybody thinking they'd lose 4-5 games, no they didn't, none of that happened, please have some self awareness people

Eh. I have to disagree with Eagles rugby part. They had 5 plays of 20+ yards and a couple more 17 yarders to Goedert. And the 2 biggest plays of the game (Brown TD, Smith deep ball to the 2). In comparison, KC had four 20+ yard plays, with 2 of them on the 1st drive, and the only in the 2nd half being the hobbled Mahomes run. KC also had a TD drive of 5 yards and the end of game drive where they completely took the air out of the ball in what was a fun game to that point. Even before the penalty, all KC ran were run plays and quick hitters to Juju and Kelce. They were essentially running out the clock before the kneel downs. The league's leading passer threw for a Justin Fields like 182. If anything KC was playing boring football.

That’s not how it works, unless you can find a private person to flip that to at like +6000. Rivers will be plenty fine holding that bet through the offseason/preseason and even start of season regardless of their moves. I doubt they’d be offering any sort of buyout on that until the Bears had a high playoff probability well in to the season. Like 9-4 through week 13 or something.

They won't offer you a buyout unless the Bears made the SB. Let's say you bet $100 at +10,000 that would pay out 10k. They would offer you like $4500 to cash out if the line was a pickem on the game. I had a Philles ticket, and I didn't get an offer until just before game 1 and the Astros were heavy favorites, and my buyout was only like 35% of the potential winnings.
