Only 2 more times to see Justin Fields this season. With the #1 pick looming, do the Bears value a chance at that vs. knocking a division rival out of the playoff hunt? I know the players on the field would love to celebrate their 1st division win of the season. But I wonder how much the coaching staff really wants that.

Either way, I expect the Bears to be in this for a long while....just like they have been most games. Whether the Bears try or not, Lions probably win this game by a score or two.

Lions just have too many weapons on offense for the Bears to win this one. I don't hate the Lions and I think Campbell is working out for them and I wouldn't mind seeing them back their way into the playoffs. Their fans deserve that more than any other fans, IMO. They have two first round draft picks this year and they don't really have any high dollar guys right now to handicap even more upgrades this offseason. Bears and Lions are about to flip the script in the NFC North for the next several years. Yay! So, yeah, I may have to start hating on the Lions sooner rather than later. But I expect that rivalry to heat up and have some meaning going forward.

The house next to ours was built by a Navy submariner. It's fairly unique, valued around $1.3 mil or so. But we've had a run of neighbors.

After the submariner and his real estate wife moved to France, they sold it to an older couple. We loved them, they were nice people. Unfortunately, they sold it and moved.

The next couple we hated. They were brash, wealthy, and expected horsefeathers like our daughter was supposed to gather her friends and help them move in. She did not. The whole neighborhood hated them. They sold the house about 2 months ago.

Where am I going with this....oh yeah. Our new neighbor is a retired pilot for Delta. Grew up in the Chi area and is also a big bears fan. The kicker: his son played high school ball in Kennesaw Georgia with Justin Fields when he was based out of Atlanta. I saw video evidence of this today. I'm working hard to get Scott and his family to host Mr Fields for a bbq...I'm not too hopeful that this would happen but if it does I will have died a happy man

Go Bears

I'm generally anti-tank but there's no universe in which I want the Bears to win this game, which has serious implications for both the value of their draft pick and the Packers' playoff odds.

Pretty certain the outcome of the Bears/Lions game is meaningless to the Packers’ playoff odds.

Looks like there's a very slight impact, per 538s prediction model.

But perhaps more indirectly, a Lions loss basically tanks their chances leaving almost nothing or nothing to play for the following week against GB.

I hope we see Terrell Lewis and Ojebudia today. This is what my Bears season has become.

Do you have a link to that I love playing around with that stuff

Ojemudia is inactive. Lewis will play though. Sounds like Justin Jones may get some reps in the base D as a DE.

Also, Chase Claypool is active!

Looks like Fields might have a shot at Lamar’s record after all

At this rate, he'll break it today

Believe he’s 87 yards away now

Once again, Fields puts the ball exactly where it needs to be, receiver's hands, and the ball hits the ground.

Herbert with the rare blocking effort so bad it would have been better had he not been there. Both didn't affect his man and got pushed into Fields way.
