I always thought that the Bears were never a "terrible" team, they were always just mediocre. Every year they could win 5 to 10 games (usually 6 or 7), but never truly bad.

Nonsense. The throw to Pettis was perfectly fine. If Pettis runs through his route that throw is right on the money. Instead he cut it off and jumped too early.
