I believe Rodriguez and Steele were the only guys who both A) hadn't appeared in a game and B) we hadn't otherwise gotten an "everything is fine" update on. Now down to just Steele.

regardless, we're talking about the entertainment industry, half the people involved go by fake names. It is beyond strange to get worked up about somebody going by such a name.

Champ Bailey isn't actually named Champ.

Fake or stage names are entirely different though. Nobody's getting worked up; it's the offseason on a Baseball board and he's a new announcer...who wants people to call him "Boog".

Isn't boog his baseball stage name essentially?

How do chipper jones or the original boog refer to themselves?

Does sciambi introduce himself as boog in non baseball settings?

Who cares

Jake sitting 92-93, which is actually really damn encouraging for the first week of March. Command not there yet, but I don't really care about that yet.

I know ST stats largely don't matter, but it's really great to see Nico hitting the hell out of the ball, in the air, considering that was the main worry about him.

So...with Maples and Brothers both throwing strikes this spring...What if the next evolution of the pitch lab is to be able to take wild men with great stuff and teaching them to command it?

Kimbrel looked pretty bad again. That said, given his arc last year I'm not gonna worry for another few weeks.

Did anyone see the HR the dude from the Giants hit yesterday? It must have gone 500 feet.

Would be cool if we found one of these older guys who breaks through late like the Dodgers have with Muncy and Taylor. Certainly would rather give Ortega a roster spot over Sogard if that’s a final decision.

It's certainly in flux right now but the Cubs' bullpen is going to be outrageous in the medium to long term

Yeah, between the arms and talent they have to choose from and just the general ability for this FO to build top ~10 bullpens every year. It’s definitely a strength. May take a few months this year to sort it all out but I’d bet by mid June or so they have a top bullpen.

A tad disappointing considering the reports of 97-99. So which of these arms are we most excited to potentially become elite bullpen arms for the next few years?
