Is it possible to be both angry and happy at a pick at the same time? Love the pick but come on you can’t trade up multiple times every draft lol. It’s not sustainable

I mean, you get a fresh set of picks every draft so yes, it is sustainable.

rumors out there that the bears are talking to the raiders about james daniels

Do they cut Leno and put Jenkins at LT? Seems like the smart move considering you spent 2 picks on him. You would think he would play the premium position on the OL. Either way they have some flexibility.

LT could be Leno or Jenkins

RT could be Ifedi or Jenkins

LG-C-RG could be any combination of Ifedi (RG only), Daniels, Whitehair, and Mustipher (C only).

Just feel like if you are consistently drafting less year over year than your opponents you’d better hit on a high percentage of your picks.

But at the same time, I love Jenkins. I saw mocks that had the Bears taking him at 20. We get him and a franchise QB

For whatever this is worth...

"This guy, Dr. Goldman, he's a sports psychologist," Sanchez said. "I talked to him yesterday. He has some interesting information on how he evaluates players, all players from all different sports, OK? Since 2012, this guy's interviewed and given basically a mental aptitude test on an iPad [to] 6,500 athletes. Professional athletes, not just this Average Joe walking down the street.

"They have a learning efficiency rating on there, so it's basically [about] acquisition -- like how many reps does it take until you get it, until you understand something -- and then your recall. Like, once you have it, can you bring it back and use it, right? That's basically what they're trying to figure out in that part of this test.

"Justin Fields, the guy who supposedly can't go through his reads, doesn't have great work ethic, all this bogus stuff -- he scored the highest. Ever. He scored the highest that they can rank him. He scored a 130 on it. [Patrick] Mahomes was like a 108. Josh Allen was like a 108. Over 100 is good."

Scouts say he can’t play LT, but who knows I guess

I can't say I didn't want the Bears to trade back a bit today to recoup some picks, but given the huge positional value and the quality of the guys they got, I can't really say I have any complaints.

Maybe they can trade their way into some more picks at some point.

What I kind of wonder about is whether the best way to read "the chart" is based on the slot itself, or the industry consensus on the player. All of the outlets have Jenkins 25-30. So do you grade the trade based on moving up to 39, or treat it like moving up to ~30? Probably more the former than the latter, but by how much?

All these quotes about how amazing he is just make me more nervous.

Why? It's not like Justin Fields is out yelling "look at my wonder lic!!!". If these analysts are wrong, it's their undoing. But the thing is, they are all saying the same thing: Fields is worth drafting at nearly any pick because as best they can tell, he will likely be very good, or even amazing.

It's the best you can do to read it, and see.

His review video he said something like "#1 think is for me to keep my QBs safe .....even if I have to do something dirty...""

I thought "wow, it's Mongo on the offensive line"

This is a confident dude. He basically said, I don't care who lines up across from me, I'm going to attack you and impose my will on any man, and wear them out throughout the game. Hes not timid in any of his answers and is highly articulate. He's a good interview.

Watching his interview against Fields is so interesting. Obviously Fields is used to a lot more of a spotlight on him given the program and his position. Almost every response was measured. Teven comes off way more honest and almost adolescent in his style. But yea that makes him a more fun interview.

Fields was pretty boring. Hes the type who wouldn't get the job because his answers felt disingenuous/not from the heart, and he was fidgety and stammered with just about every response. Now if thats a tick he has, I take it back, and apologize for my ignorance. But it was an off-putting interview in my eyes. Surely he'll get more comfortable as he matures, though.
