First batter up and the Pads give up the lead.

Brewers have two hits and they’re both homers.

I'm trying to be optimistic, but at this point I think it is extremely unlikely that the Brewers don't make the playoffs. With the Cubs and Cardinals playing each other 7 times, and the Brewers playing garbage teams, they are going to pass one if not both teams.

Pretty much.

I miss when the Cubs could neutralize good starters by driving their pitch count up and getting to the pen early. Right now Gray is on track to go 7 or 8 innings

Random current Reds manager must be so pumped that everything is lining up perfect for 2 innings from Iglesias. There is no greater joy in the world for a Reds manager than a 2 out save for Iglesias against the Cubs.

They were close to doing it tonight but let Sonny off the hook for 1-2 innings.

Really, no NL Central manager's career is complete until they've managed a few games against us as if they're in the playoffs.

Have the Cubs considered scoring more runs? Seems like a good strategy

The Brewers taking the Cardinals magic dust rules. I actually think it’s hilarious: there’s a non-zero chance the Cardinals end up out of the playoffs completely, which owns

5 outs to work with, but this is really the story of this years team. Can't get a streak going. Have they won more than 5 in a row?

Well at least the Cards are going to lose. Would be nice to only be one back with Scherzer facing them tomorrow though. If we win tomorrow and they lose it’s fine.
