Today is the home opener. Who here is excited? Pittsburgh is off to a good start(5-3) while the Cubs are off to a shitty start(2-7)

 

The weather looks to be near perfect for early April so there is that. This is my very first game thread, maybe this will get the Cubs going

That said, I've already heard a lot of cheering. Hope you aren't too disappointed and that things can turn around by the end of the game.

 

It's just...who are you going to boo in this lineup right now? Everyone is either killing the ball, or is already a Cubs legend. Boo Maddon when he comes out if you think he's doing a bad job (won't happen), boo when Almora grounds out to short if he pinch hits, boo Russell just for fun. But that's about it.

There's Cervelli having to stop himself from throwing the ball around the horn to appeal to third on what was an obvious checked swing. Looking forward to him holding his glove for 4 seconds to buy a call and then having a key RBI with a 12 hopper up the middle.

I know it’s going against the KB sucks and is actually bad now thing people are jumping on, but I think he’s gonna be fine. Just having a rough ~4 games here, it happens. He was on Tallion there.
