Also, I don't know what the tiebreaker situation is, but with the Cowboys losing too I think we're reasonably locked into the #3 seed.

Playing around with the ESPN playoff simulator and it seems the Cowboys have the upper hand on tie breaker. However, the Bears just need 1 of 2 to clinch.

Beat the Packers, win the division, eliminate the Packers. Yeah that is pretty much the trifecta of awesomeness there. :stickman: :hello: :flythew:

This is ok right? Especially with the ability to rest it for 3 weeks.

Yeah, that's usually a 1-2 week injury, so we *should* be in the clear.

The question now is how much should Nagy take his foot off the gas the next two weeks. Play next week like normal and them treat week 17 like a preseason game?

Or knock both teams in the teeth and hopefully the Vikings completely out of it

Depends if the Rams lose tonight.

The Bears can bring two players back from IR. They brought Shaheen back already. Hypothetically, if you could bring Callahan or Long back before the playoffs, who would you choose?

Honestly the Vikings could lose out and still have decent odds. That game has a good chance of not mattering.

If it's locked in as Bears/Vikings for the first round of the playoffs, that game is definitely going to be very much like last game of the pre-season.

As a noon game, it's doubtful to be locked in at kickoff, but may not be the end of the game.

I really want to go back and find all the comments on Packers boards after the Mack trade was made saying it was a dumb move because the Bears aren’t even competing this year

Barring a Rams or Saints collapse, the Bears will play on Wild Card Weekend for the first time since 1994
Wistful memories of Raymont Harris owning the Vikings and then getting mollywhopped by the horsefeathering Niners the next week.

Haha I love that Joniak watches the game on his feet like a neurotic bears fan. I love his calls and he gets the energy right over the air but I didn’t picture him gesticulating like that in person.

Good, soul cleansing win today. Not a drubbing which would have been nice but a solid win that established NFC North dominance and I think closed a chapter of Packers rule.

Playoffs will be fun.

Was thinking a Rams loss tonight would make things interesting for a bye but they finish with Arizona and SF. Bears would have to win out and hope one of those teams could beat them.

If I’m looking at this, the Vikings would need a win next week and then Washington, Carolina and Philly would all need at least one loss (Washington in Week 16, Carolina and Philly either this week or next).

Washington is at Tennessee, Carolina has home games against NO and Atlanta, while Philly has this current game in LA and at home against Houston. (Also Minny is at Detroit).

I don’t think it’s that big of a stretch that they clinch next week

Being generally healthy and also a young team, avoiding a bye could be a good thing (I tried to convince myself).
