Watched the last minute of UCF-Duke, trying to be objective, really did not see the fouls on UCF, Williamson, on the way to the hoop, cleared out with his off arm, Tacko did not commit a foul, Williamson jumped into him. Probably, should have been a no-call, good basket and play on. If anything a foul occurred on the FT rebound put back - Barrett had his hand on the UCF player' back for the whole rebounding sequence and pushed off. So, the officials swallowed their whistles at the wrong time.

I dont think there was anything overly shameful. My first glance on Sunday I thought UCF was getting shafted, but in retrospect it wasnt that bad.

Good to see Michigan forgot how to shoot today.

UMFan what happened? I had them in the FF, thought they were clearly the best team in the West, did not think they'd have much trouble advancing. Guess TT' defense was a big factor along with an off shooting night.

Texas Tech is playing great basketball for about the last 6 weeks. Well they've been good all year but are on another level lately. Barttorvik.com shows that they have played like the 2nd best team in basketball since mid-February (michigan was 1 whoops). They were the one team I was really worried about in their bracket. I think their defensive system of keeping the middle clear was a horrible matchup for Michigan and they played right into their hands. It doesn't help that they had a horrific shooting night even when they got open looks and that the defense didn't play up to par in the 2nd half.

Michigan with the right matchups could have won the title but I think most Michigan fans had concern that a game like this was going to pop up at the wrong time. The offense has been average (relative to other top 10 teams) but has had long periods in games where they've struggled to score. They had one of those games at the wrong time against the best or 2nd best defense in college basketball.

Michigan should return everyone relevant from this year's team save probably Charles Matthews and will be adding a top 50 SF to replace him that can shoot probably better than everyone on the current team and create his own offense. Barttorvik (using this site again its great), they are projecting Michigan to be the number 1 team in CBB next year.

I agree with your points, checked the site, it's predicting significant improvement of the Illini, perhaps, a bubble team. Hopefully, after next season, making the tournament is a given, it should be for a program like the Illini.

horsefeathering Duke escapes again.

In the last 10 seconds, Va Tech airballed an open 3, took a bad, long 3 that wasn't close and then missed a 2-footer on a great out of bounds play.

Texas A&M will hire Buzz Williams in the next few days. Rumors of LSU interim coach Tony Benford joining his staff too. I’ve heard anywhere from $3.5MM to $7MM per year for Buzz. I think it will be no more than $4MM but I guess we will see. Thrilled to get Buzz back to Aggieland.

I'm absolutely biased, but did Carsen Edwards just show us the best NCAA tournament run by an individual since Stephen Curry?

Well, he just became the first guy to win regional MOP without actually winning the regional since Curry, so you probably have a point.

I think they said during the broadcast that he had the most points through 4 games in tourney history. And that was before he scored a little more.

No disrespect meant, but isn't this a lateral move? Does he have ties there?

I am not a Purdue fan, but man I feel for you guys after that ending last night. You had them.

Last night's game and the game against TN were ridiculously intense. Seeing Purdue lose sucks, but damn, that was a great game to watch.

He’s from Texas and has been wanting to move back for a long time. Plus he coached at A&M under Billy Gillispie. And he will get a raise.

Agreed. It sucks, but I appreciate the quality basketball.

Good to see the Duke MO of the other team failing to execute finally caught up with them, was anyone else finding the constant narrative about Zion Williamson' greatness tiresome? Glad that' over although, I'm certain CBS will find a way to talk him about next weekend despite his team not being in the Final Four.

MSU may be facing, a team in Texas Tech, that's better than Duke, would not be surprised if Texas Tech wins that game. One might say whomever wins that game will win on Monday night. On the other side of the bracket, while I don't hold it against the Auburn kids, them making the Final Four with perhaps, the dirtiest, greasiest, piece of horsefeathering horsefeathers as a HC exemplifies all that' wrong with the business of college basketball.

I really don't get all the commotion over the foul call at the end of the Virginia game. The refs missed the double dribble on Jerome right before that, sure. But Guy was pretty clearly fouled at the end because the Auburn player ran into his leg.

If the focus was on the double dribble, I wouldn't care. But it's on a call the referee got 100% correct.
