As long as we’re playing a meaningless what if game, I think they’re in by running the table before losing in the BTT championship

The basketball world will not be prepared for the PSU/Illinois BTT championship game.

Illinois up to 64 in Pomeroy ratings, good enough for...12th in conference.

B1G by KP ratings:

Michigan State 4

Michigan 6

Purdue 9

Wisconsin 12

Maryland 15

Iowa 27

Nebraska 34

Ohio State 37

Indiana 45

Minnesota 50

Penn State 59

Illinois 64

Northwestern 69

Rutgers 84

The numbers are also fairly similar in the NET rankings, which leads to hilarious schedules, like Illinois having 17 of their 20 conference games as tier 1, including 13 of the 14 they've already played (only Rutgers at home wasn't, they still haven't played home games with NW and PSU).

Was thinking the same thing, it's highly improbabable but, wouldn't be horsefeathering amazing? In any case they're playing real well, now appears to only a matter of time before they're contending for the Big 10 regular season championship. It sure looked bleak earlier in the season, never thought a turn around was possible, I was convinced they were not going to win a game in the Big Ten.

Illini lost for the 15 consecutive time to Wisconsin, it was close one, 64-58 in Madison. The Illini will soon put an end to Wisconsin' streak, it's coming, next season for certain. If they happen to meet in the BTT it'll end earlier. I'll make a bold predication after they put an end to Wisconsin' winning streak, it's going to turn around, the Illini are going to rip off several in a row vs. Wisconsin.

Under wood has to get better at coaching air, there was no excuse for air to foul #34 on his drive to the bucket at the end. Put the game away for them. I hope air isn't allowed in another late game situation.

Illinois has impressed me with their play lately.

Indiana meanwhile...

Is Miller going to last?

I think he will get time to turn it around. Personally, i think the guy can coach. This season is just so baffling. For a team to tank from 12-2 to 13-13 with some really good wins on the resume, it has to be an issue deeper within the locker room. Or so I would think.

Typical home phantom call, have to expect such calls when you're on the road in the Big Ten. If I'm Underwood, I tell the kids the home team is pretty much going to be able to do anything - hand check, push, hold, over the back, etc. Have to go at them hard and play through it.

Muck Fichigan! Yay Sparty!

Cool story bro

Izzo was a mile ahead of Beilien yesterday....I can rarely say that so I was pleased

Izzo's Spartans have won more often than not against Beilein's Wolverines.

Izzo has had way more talent...Beilein often out coaches Izzo.

i would have liked to have seen Matthews put on Winston for a stretch to see if they could force anybody else to try to create

Not a good day for Will Wade.

LSU has national recognition yet aren’t a bad blood in hoops, so this isn’t good for them from an NCAA standpoint. NCAA would never go after UNC, Duke, or Kansas hoops in a major way but LSU is big enough to be a very viable scapegoat in all this FBI scandal.
