2010 sucked but it sucked less than 2013 or whatever year when Aaron Rodgers went down for 5 games and the Bears fumbled away a huge divison lead and lost on the last play of the game because of Chris horsefeathering Conte

I hate hate hate hate hate the Packers so much because they manage to always pull that kind of garbage comeback win out of their butts, like the first game of the season that nearly completely killed any interest I had in football. (Good job the Bears for being very good and keeping me around the edges)

Mitchell Trubisky has now started 22 consecutive games at QB for the Bears, which is the longest streak for one Bear QB since Jim Harbaugh in 1992.

that 2013 game still haunts me

-Packers fumble and the Bears just stand there and walk off the field thinking the play is over, and eventually the packers realize and grab it and take it to the house

-4th and Division from midfield and under a minute left. We bring the house against Rodgers and are literally 0.5 seconds from sacking him right as he finds the blown coverage and makes a perfect pass to Cobb for the season ending TD.

Fun fact, if the Bears win the Super Bowl and the Raiders get the #1 pick, the Mack trade would result in the Bears tradin the #32 pick for the #33 pick.

Peppers was sooooo close to ending the game with a sack. You people still dont want GB knocked out of the playoff race earlier?

eta: that was not a playoff game

it wasn't. it just essentially functioned as one.

only if they win again next season. The 1/2 swap isn't until 2020 draft.

don't forget that Jeffrey dropped a catchable jump ball around the GB 10 with about 6 minutes left, prompting the bears to punt back to Rodgers

I'd like to the see Packers completely removed from the equation, I believe the Vikings will handle them Sunday, in fact, quite easily. Rodgers is playing hurt and you can see it, against a pretty ferocious Viking pass rush I'll be surprised if he finishes the game. Edited by gflore34

It'll be tough rooting for GB this weekend, however if they win and the Bears win, both GB and Minn both have to run the table to have a chance in the division.

i just watched a highlight package from that game. i had forgotten how much insane stuff happened in that game. the only thing i really remembered was the rodgers/peppers fumble play.

as brutal as that game was, i guess my heart wasn't broken *that* badly because i had no faith in that team doing anything at all with that horrible tucker defense.

Jersey is right. It's the 2020 draft.

Chicago Bears:

DE Khalil Mack

2020 second-round draft pick

2020 conditional fifth-round draft pick

Oakland Raiders:

2019 first-round draft pick

2019 sixth-round draft pick

2020 first-round draft pick

2020 third-round draft pick

So we're looking at just the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, and possibly another 7th from Deiondre' Hall trade to Eagles in the 2019 draft. 2020 draft will be 2nd, Raiders 2nd, 4th, 5th, maybe Raiders 5th, 6th and 7th. It'll be scary not having that many picks in the upcoming draft, but Mack has already made that trade a "win" for the Bears.

I think by 2020 the Bears will have a fair chance to be back in the black for comp picks so probably a sixth or seventh that year as well (which would be based on this offseason net losses)

They'll definitely get a 6th and/or 7th round comp in 2020. They have a decent amount of FAs after this year that are likely to get contracts elsewhere (Massie, Amos, Lynch, Callahan are the top names) and don't have a ton of money to replace them in free agency. So they will definitely spend less than teams spend on their players. If Amos and/or Callahan leave and get top 10 safety/corner money, respectively, the Bears could potentially get in the 3rd-4th round comp area.

Umm....

He did look like he was cringing a decent amount when he took that hit on that slide last night. I thought it might have been his ribs or wind knocked out of him but I could see that hit being the one that screwed something up in the shoulder.

If Chase Daniel can't beat Detroit, there's no point to him.

Chase Daniel probably can't beat Detroit. Even if he can, there's still no point to him or any backup QB that has no chance of competing for a job. It's a guy you hope never plays.

Sorry, maybe I should rephrase, "Chase Daniel and the Bears defense".
