The Bears open as 3.5 point favorites on the road having won 2 in a row vs divisional opponents and 4 overall. They control their destiny for the division and things are looking up.

But they have about 7 minutes to turn things around and get ready for a Thanksgiving day game. If they manage to pull off the win, they get 9 days to prepare for the lowly Giants in the Meadowlands. Detroit managed to beat a quality Carolina team, but they're still 4-6 and have been outscored by 40 points this year. Detroit is barely alive for the playoffs, and the Bears can kill their hopes with a couple well timed rushes by Mack and Hicks and hopefully a better game out of Mitch.

Detroit doesn’t have a defense nearly as good as Minnesota. I would expect Mitch to play better.

As for our defense, they look like they are finally comfortable with this head case “Mack”. Thank god

Looks like the Lions won't have their best offensive weapon for this one (Kerryon Johnson)

Marvin Jones missed yesterday. Doesn't look promising for him to play Thursday. So, that'd be their best 2 offensive weapons....though Golladay had a huge game yesterday.

The Bears will likely be without Adam Shaheen and Aaron Lynch, who both suffered concussions yesterday.

It’s pretty messed up that the league makes teams play Day game Thursday football games after a night game Sunday night game. I’m hopeful the Bears win but I’m anticipating a sloppy and not crisp affair.

This offense seems to click the more they play especially against mediocre defenses. I worry more about the D getting gassed playing so soon.

I wonder if its an advantage that we just played 8 days ago. Both teams are already pretty familiar with the game planning for each other. Obviously there will be new tape to watch and new wrinkles to add in, but it's probably better than playing some team we haven't seen all year. If anything it will be more difficult for the Lions to rework their game plan over a short period of time to make up the huge gap between the two teams we saw last week.

that, and probably a sense of humor

The only thing funny about these threads is how they've been reduced to a butt-clenched level of angry defensiveness (even when the Bears are arguably GOOD) that sticks out on a dusty old board that's pretty much fueled by butt-clenched angry defensiveness.

I'm not saying the threads are funny, I'm saying your jokes in them aren't very funny.

We all want the Packers to beat the Vikings to make them both 5-5-1 right? Or are some of you weirdos going to do the wanting the Brewers to beat the Cardinals in the last week of the season thing?

NO NO

2nd tie is optimal, but a Packers win is what we should be rooting for

FO updated their playoff odds. Bears up to 80% to win division, 94.7% to make playoffs, 20% to earn a bye.

Bears now 4th in weighted DVOA behind Chiefs, Rams and Saints.
