Moustakas is no star, but having to sign two crappy one year deals in a row is just an indication of how broken this system is. No QO to use as an excuse this time, either.

I really hope there’s a long lockout next time if it means the players are standing up for themselves. The owners’ greed is absolutely destroying the game.

I know the prevailing thought has been that the rest of the free agents have been waiting on Harper/Machado to set the market, but at this point, I'm sorta shocked that Kuechel, Gonzalez, et al are still sitting there unsigned. When does the dam break?

I didn’t realize the extent of it until i saw multiple references recently, but really it’s up to Boras. Harper, Machado, Keuchel, Moustakas(until today), Marwin Gonzalez, all of the notable remaining FA outside of Kimbrel(and relievers have their own market weirdness outside of collusion) are Boras clients.

He’s a bad body 30+ year old with a career OBP barely over .300 and is lower than Almora’s career OBP.

Point remains the same, but Machado actually is now represented by MVP Sports.

MLB At Bat really stretching what is push notification worthy but letting me know that Josh Harrison signed with the Tigers.

Arenado extended 8/260. So much for 2020.

I assumed that he wasn't Boras client, and it looks like he dumped him in 2015. Many Cubs fans think this gives us hope of extending Bryant, but is there any history of Boras arbitration-level guys extending instead of hitting free agency?
