I think someone mentioned that Duke hadn't posted since Thursday....which was the last time the Cubs won.

What if Duke has somehow become the ultimate reverse jinx?

The mayor of DC just declared a state of emergency for the DC region. But game is still on currently. Gotta make sure the Cubs drag their tired carcasses to Washington to play a game in a hurricane.

POST, DUKE. POST LIKE YOU'VE NEVER POSTED BEFORE.

I’ve been busy. Missed pretty much the whole Nats series. I did see the game last night, though, so it’s not the watching part but could very well be the posting part.

"If Wake Forest can play football at 5:30 then the Cubs can play in DC at 4." MLB - probably.

"Wake Forest has a football team?" America - likely

Weather channel now has the center of the storm not hitting N.Carolina until Friday AM. So, it's looking likelier (not definite) that they'll play this game in DC on Thursday afternoon. Do we know if it will definitely be against Scherzer?

Ok, good. Skipping Ross to pitch Scherzer in a meaningless game for the Nats would be a dick move

Man, this whole off day/travel thing is just a killer. A real day off and I think this team would pull its horsefeathers together. Edited by The_Achiever

Take it for what it's worth...

this would be better. If we have won the division we can just send a B league roster to DC to play the game (or forfeit) and if we are out of it, we can make these chumps play the Nats out of spite.

also, has any professional team actually forfeited a game? Can it happen?
