It’s hard to believe, but there’s a possibility the Cubs go from having the best record in the National League for most of the year to out of the playoffs.

I was making an effort to not respond to the insane level of doom bonering, but this one broke me. What on Earth are you talking about?!?!

Reality.

That somehow doesn't include math?

You realize that THREE teams would have to pass us in the standings for that to happen, right? Fangraphs has us as 99.9% to make the playoffs. Your doom boner is based on a mythical situation. A boom boner based on DVDA fantasies. Reality has nothing to do with it.

horsefeathers, Brewers fans are probably so giddy right now. It's too much for me to take.

They are still in post orgasm refractory period from last night.

The wild card loss to the Cardinals will be such a fun ending to this season.

The sports teams in this city are hilariously bad

Guys, seriously; if you give up on the Bears (and, more importantly, football), then you at least have their hilarious eternal failures to brighten your day a little bit when stuff like this happens. I wanted to shoot last night's loss right between my toes.

I know what I’m seeing. You do too. Weren’t we over 90% to win the division a few games back?

Quit with the “doom boner” crap. It got old years ago.

Finally, I said possibly. And it is possible.

There was a moment like two weeks ago, when I think the VBs were six back in the loss column and were losing to the Reds by like four or five in the late innings of a game. They came back to win that one and it's been all horsefeathers since.
