What's the point of changing the pitcher if you are going to bring in Kindling? There's got be a better chance Garcia rights the ship than he does anything worthwhile.

To be fair, it wasn't exactly a 100 mile per hour exit velocity hit that Kinsler allowed.

I'm predicting the Cubs pretty much swing at the first pitch of every at-bat.

Bryant, Contreras and Russell all looking useless at the plate with no sign of turning it around is....not ideal at this point. They can't jury-rig a broken starting rotation AND batting lineup; Almora's gone down in flames, Bote is back to being a nobody, Caratini is beyond bad, Happ is streaky at best, and Heyward is either shitty again or injured, take your pick. There's nobody left to offset this kinda horsefeathers like they were able to do earlier in the season.

I still think Murphy, Baez, Rizzo, Bryant, Zobrist and Schwarber makes the offense potent enough, with any help from guys like Happ sprinkled in.

I think.

I don't think managers do this with only a 3-0 deficit in the second inning, but I'd love to see Maddon pull all the regulars so we could have a full lineup for the second game. Keep Russell, Almora, LaStella in, of course. They suck.

Murphy and Schwarber are platoon players and Zobrist gets sidelined by Oldmanitis every 3rd game or so.

The parts are all there and then some, but it's crossing over into worst case scenario territory in terms of the sheer number of guys who are either hurt or terrible or both.

Crazy thing is here, yes it been Garcia Kintzler, and DeLaRosa but theyve only given up 3 runs through 4..

If these bats who are basically regulars, could muster up a few hits and runs, theyd actually have a chance to win this game..
