Thats a really really really bad loss

They basically didn't have to do anything in the last two innings to win. You're allowed to lose this game, but you shouldn't lose it this way

Probably had a chance going to second there, Cain wasn’t barely off the bag when Bryant fielded it

But should’ve came home with it

Not sure what he was thinking but yea he definitely should of went home there..

They said the Murphy play was called a balk, so him missing the throw or Rizzo bad throw is mute..

Schwarber decision to go home over second was a bad choice...

Oh well, play better tomorrow bfadae5d851223e28e82175cb40065ac.jpg

Forgetting the mental mistake there, has anyone seen anything to indicate that Bryant is any better offensively than he was before going on the DL?

3 games and he looks pretty much the same to me. Not saying that is what he is going to be the rest of the year, but I haven't seen anything yet to give me hope that we will see anything close to peak Kris Bryant this year.

From little league the play there is at home. Just a stupid stupid decision.

I know that, which is why I ended with should’ve came home, but on the replay he had a better chance throwing to second to get Cain over going for Yelich at first.

Again you get the out at home, but I have no clue what the hell Cain was doing at first.

Having a comfortable lead allows me to realize how entertaining that all was. Damn.

Four game lead with five left against the Brewers is not quite "comfortable." Could be three tomorrow.

I’m confident their pitching won’t hold up and Counsell will mismanage away a bunch of games. Having Granderson bunt was laughable.

Yeah, these humps aren't catching up to horsefeathers; this is just annoying because this was a super easily winnable game, and the Cubs just botched it away multiple times over.

he's already acknowledged he's not going to be 100% at any point this year

i'm not sure what you're getting at. having a 75-80% KB is better than anything else we have available so, its a good thing

This. Even with his limited production in 3 games, the presence of quality of his ABs in the lineup is noticeable, IMO.

Exactly. Bote was a fun little thing that happened, but he went .187 .244 .387 .631 with a .273 BAbip in 82 PA in August. It's MUCH better to have even a power diminished Bryant in there more often.

Yeah. The thing I’m most pissed about the loss outside of the mental errors and Joe being a dunce is it knocks off a few extra horsefeathers around games for us to get guys more rest and let some of the bullpen guys like smyly, Webster, etc get a few more innings to see if they can be playoff options.
