Welp, I didn't get to watch that last one. I was at a pot luck where everyone conversed by talking about the latest score update from whomever was most recently able/permitted to discreetly check their phone. Fun times.

 

I got a request to do Doug, and sure, why not. I watched that show, but other than the names of some characters and "Stash our trash! Beautify Bluffington!" nothing leaps to mind about the show. I think its the most easily forgotten show ever. I can't even find any decent gifs. Just stuff like this:

...but I would totally sign off on Braun catching one like that.

 

Anyhow, did you know that Cole is currently second in WAR for Cubs pitchers behind Hendricks?! He's already at 1.7, ahead of Monty, Carl, and Cishek, in that order.

I don't even know what to say to that. (Fun fact: Rizzo, Happ, and LaStella all have Chatwood beat) But we continue to win, so let's keep donging. I'll do a totally better show, namely, Pete and Pete, and put more time into this if we win this one. That's good incentive, right?

Win today and the Cubs will clinch a winning record for the fourth straight season. This would mark only the second stretch the Cubs had a winning record for at least 4 straight seasons since World War II. (1968-1974 the other).

I hate these series on the baseball calendar. My hate for the Brewers is so intense that I'm miserable going in. Well, except afterward if we have won.

 

It's fascinating. I don't care at all about the Cardinals. Don't check to see how they are doing. Don't care if they win. Was mad Scherzer got moved back to face the Cards when everybody else was happy about it.

 

I'd really like the Cubs to win today.

Why isnt Rizzo on second base?

Should of went there on the throw home

Because the cutoff throw was basically right at 2nd base.

Im guessing he should of been at or rounded first after the bobble, and when throw from cutoff went home he should of been going to 2B..

 

I bet he was watching the play standing by 1st
