Yeah he was dead there but there’s no way that’s his instinct to think about 2B there. He’d have to be lucky to catch how far away Cain was out of the corner of his eye. Once he committed to the play he did (likely wrong) he only had 1B on his mind.

Fangraphs for some reason has the Dodgers at 16% to win the WS while the Cubs 10.5%

Dodgers 90-72

Braves 88-74

Brewers 90-72 WC

The reason is it thinks the Dodgers are significantly better than the Cubs, despite the Cubs currently having a better record.

When I saw Bryant running to 3rd I thought, "did he catch it?" Maybe Cain thought the same thing. Great minds...
