Hader is very, very good. He and Knebel make that a fantastic back end of the BP.

Well Knebel is dead and their offense sucks so the backend is Hader and they won’t have many leads.

Did Joe make up the lineup for the Nats today, or are all the managers drunk throughout the league?

Bryce just getting in leadoff reps for where he’ll hit for us next year. Dave Martinez is clearly a mole.

So, I’m aware Knebel is injured. But he’ll be back in a month or so, and will probably be very good again. And while the Brewers aren’t great, there will probably be a game or two where the Cubs are trailing late in the game. And to try to score off of those two will be daunting.

Kinda like the Reds. They suck even more. But IF they have the lead in the 9th, the Cubs are basically helpless against Iglesias. Same with the Pirates closer. (Did he change his name again)

Good closers are good? Ok got it. Hader gets to pitch once a series because Counsell and the front office are morons.

So not only do the Cards walk it off against the White Sox but I don't even get to enjoy Hawk's pain because he's not calling the game? That's some [expletive].

He did all the road games last year, did he reduce his schedule even more this year? Maybe he just didn't want to go to St. Louis which is totally understandable.

Dodgers drop their first 2 in their 4 game series against the D'backs (Kershaw started tonight), they are now 5 games under .500 and 9 back. "It's May" but feel like they must win one of, if not both of, those last 2 games of that series, 11/9 back and 7/5 under would be a huge hole and basically any margin for error is eliminated the rest of the year.

Hawk is basically semi retired. He's barely doing any games I believe. Which is good because Benetti is excellent.

Paxton had 16Ks in 7IPs tonight

And the Mariners blew it lol. What a game from Paxton. He looked incredible. I wonder if they'll ever make him available before he becomes a FA in a few years.

I believe he becomes a FA in 2020.

Just wait till Eloy starts hitting bombs for the Sox. This will be me in a diner in the city contemplating why we traded him:

I’m happy for Gleyber. Cubs don’t win Game 5 of the WS without Chapman. But I could really use without seeing Chapman celebrating the walk-off since it bugs me no end that the Yankees got Torres for him and then re-signed him. Also don’t like seeing Chapman happy since he’s a horrible human.

Just be happy with the fact that he wasn’t on the mound when the last out was made and he’ll always have to live with almost blowing the World Series.

And me in my man cave is this

Gleyber just hit a walk-off 3-run HR for the Yankees.

Yankees without a world championship in 9 years! And the calendar keeps flipping.

Vaunted Brewers

14-1 against four of the six worst teams (currently) in baseball has certainly fattened their record.

6-14 against everyone else.

BFIBs

9=0 against the Reds and White Sox

10-12 against everyone else.

Vaunted Pirates

Who really cares?

And we haven’t played a team under .500 in over a month. They’ve had time to get fat on the bottom of the league and we are still basically right there with them. 9 of our next 13 games are against the Marlins, Reds and White Sox. Hopefully we get 6 or 7 of those 9 games.

Cardinals getting beat again by the Vaunted Twins

We really fucked up this weekend against them, but they really aren’t all that good.

All it did was give the BFIB false hope
