As it turns out, the projection systems thought too highly of the Brewers.

They are 7th worst in RD right now (-19), they probably should have 2+ more losses. They also have the 2nd lowest BB% and a top 10 highest K% as a team on offense and their pitching has been about as bad as expected.

Big Jake is still the vaunted Pirates' daddy.

According to the Pirate announcers they owned Jake in a Cubs uniform...

Between the Pirates, Reds and Cardinals I think the NL Central has 3 of the 5-7 or so worst broadcast teams in MLB but the Cubs and Brewers might be 1 and 2 in terms of the best.

I'd go so far as to say they're the worst 3 now that Hawk is essentially gone.

Yankees, Royals, and given Mark Grant's insufferable visits to the Cubs booth when they're in town, I can only assume the Padres are just as bad.

Oh yeah. I forgot about the Padres. They’re so bad.

I live in Maryland so I get all of the MASN Nationals and Orioles games. I actually like what the Nats guys have to say a lot of the time, they're fairly knowledgable but their "excitement calls" feel pretty fabricated and forced.

Orioles are alright. Just seems like bunch of old dudes bitching about baseball when I catch their broadcast (which is, inexplicably, almost always their post game which straight up is 2 old white haired dudes being crotchety about baseball).

I have never seen a full Nats broadcast but I can't imagine the guy who shouts "see you later!" after every home run brings anything good to the table. Hate that horsefeathering call.

It will shock you to learn that he's a former Cardinals announcer.

And thirty seconds after I post it, he gives up a double, a game-tying run, and he’s out of the game. Can’t get the win and can get the loss.

It was Tyson Ross FWIW. Watch that be the last game he ever pitches. Pretty crazy that he would throw so many pitches with his injury history but the Padres are the only team left to not have a no hitter so its not surprising, I guess.

the astros are doing what the cubs were supposed to do

Yeah apparently they are more focused and prepare better than the Cubs according to the guy that sprayed our #3 hitter in the genitals with shoe cleaner an hour before game 7 of the World Series.
