I've got a feeling he drops like 10 homers in the upcoming 4 game series at Wrigley.

Yelich is dog horsefeathers at Wrigley and always has been. I doubt it.

Real question, are things like this a coincidence or do batters just not see the ball well in some ballparks but do in other parks? Darryl Strawberry and Pujols come to mind as players who crushed the ball at Wrigley, more so than other parks, even when the Cubs had good pitchers on the mound.

It depends; sometimes it's because of the pitchers they face in a particular park, sometimes it's a coincidence, and sometimes it's not easily explained.

I’m here for it. Let them antagonize the hell out of the Cardinals like back in the Brandon Phillips era.

Here’s your annual reminder that Amir Garrett nearly hit me in the side of the head with an errant fastball while warming up in the bullpen in Atlanta. I was 10+ feet off the ground, in my seat, facing forward.

With Woodruff, Burnes, Peralta, Hader, Williams, they're going to win a lot of low scoring, close games. Just a matter of if that kind of elite pitching will hold up over a full season after last year.

I'll always be more ok with the Brewers doing some stupid unbelievable garbage than the Cardinals, who have had sole possession of the Magic Pixie Dust for decades

I mean, if those guys can stay healthy, they've been more than good enough to carry the team. But...

Burnes pitched 116 innings in 2018, 71 innings in 2019, 60 innings in 2020, and he's at 59 this year, having already missed a couple weeks for injury.

Woodruff pitched 114 innings in 2018, 121 innings in 2019, 74 innings in 2020, and 76 innings this year.

Peralta 139 innings in 2018, 98 innings in 2019, 29 innings in 2020, 64 innings this year.

I'm aware every team is going to have these issues to some degree, but few teams are relying on their starters like they are (first in starter fWAR so far this year), and I don't think they have any reinforcements to fill in the inevitable gaps. Only looks like 1 prospect in the top 150 on FG, Aaron Ashby, who had never pitched above high A before this year and is walking over 5.5 guys per 9 in AAA so far this year. They'll need Yelich to come back and resume MVP production, otherwise the offense will never be able to do enough.

Travis shaw dislocated his left shoulder last night. May be out for rest of season

Addition by subtraction? Don't think they have an in house replacement, but .191/.279/.337 in 202 PAs this year wasn't doing a whole for them.
