I wouldn’t be surprised if the agreement is done (if we are to believe the poster) but teams and the league have an understanding to wait until tomorrow or Friday to announce signings/trades with HOF announcement day being today to give that it’s rightful acknowledgment. Since we know there’s the understanding on other things like during playoffs/WS to generally not announce things.

I know it’s just speculation but I don’t think it’s the craziest thing to think what I said is true and there’s a gentlemen’s agreement in place on no announcements today.

I hate the Brewers so much that honestly I was just trying to brace for them winning the division and having to hear about it, especially when we were coming off a World Series and had a vastly more talented team.

 

I was mentally weak. I can't shy away from it. But instead of doing a Theo and throwing crap around in private, I vented on the board. I remain humbled and apologetic about it, and it will never happen again. I will just throw crap around in private this time.

FanGraphs saying the Cubs need Darvish makes me really care less about signing Darvish.

 

I liked Mr. 'if Ozuna and Pham outperform projections by 5 wins then the Cubs and Cards are basically the same' suggesting that the Cubs' having several players projected to get better after down years is somehow an increased risk. 2017 is the only year that has ever happened, no other context is useful or necessary in projecting players, no siree
