I'm thinking the best offseason to hope for is probably something like:

 

Lose: Arrieta, Lackey, Rondon, Davis, Duensing, Grimm, Jay

 

Add:

 

Otani

Alex Cobb

Jake McGee (little cheaper since he doesn't have the "closer" tag)

Pat Neshek (old guy that will probably take a 1-2 year deal)

Some lefty guy

 

- Lineup looks the same, minus Jay but adding Otani upon occasion

- Rotation becomes Lester, Hendricks, Q, Otani, Cobb

- Bullpen becomes McGee, Strop, Edwards, Wilson, Neshek, Some Lefty Guy, Montgomery, Maples/Minors

They haven't announced that date yet, but it's about 125 days right now, assuming that they'll report around February 21st.

Yeah I'll definitely be rooting for whoever comes out of the AL. Houston would be ideal but I would enjoy Starlin getting a ring too.

 

Although I fear it is LA's year. They are making it look easy right now.
