I think Theo and Jed need to convince Heyward to find a new calling in life (Motivational Speaker) and retire so we can sign B. Harper after next season lol.

How good would his season have to be for him to opt out?

I'll ask

they said real good

Guys, the Dodgers are just a better team. They have been all season. Simple as that.

I mean except for when they went 5-20 from 8/26-9/20

Yeah I guess except for that slump. But they won 104 games overall, vs 92 for the Cubs. They're better

You're not wrong, but the better team doesn't always advance in the playoffs. It's kind of a crapshoot.

I mean the Yankees might advance to the WS and in no way do I think they're better than the Astros. horsefeathers the Yankees.

You know it’s amazing how much easier it is to take playoff losses (and now the end of the season) after the title last year. I’m sitting here looking all my 2016 memorabilia and still smiling about it. It sucks seeing the Cubs season end, but this time it’s primarily because I’m just going to miss watching them for 5 months and not because I’m wondering if I’ll ever see a title.

Agreed 100% April can't come soon enough!

Yeah, I agree with that sentiment too. I can take this loss a lot better this time. Losing to the Mets in 2015 felt way worse...

The Rockies have McGee, Neshek and possibly Holland as free agents this offseason. In particular, I'd like to target McGee as an acquisition this winter if he's not too expensive.

The Cubs are the only team to win a world series in the past 718 days. This incredibly streak had to end eventually.

I'd like one from the Shaw, McGee, Morrow level of free agents, as long as you don't have to pay them for too many years.
