Listening to sports radio types talk about potential lineups earlier, I feel like a lot of people don't fully realize Heyward is a plus CFer, and possibly the best on the team aside from Martin.

god i hate the zobrist outfields, especially since zobrist kinda sucks now.

Ugh, no, I am not. Zobrist's numbers are nightmarish even WITH those two home runs he hit towards the end. Jay at least has been getting on base at a somewhat acceptable clip or better since June and plays better defense.

I was planning on reverse jinxing the Nats by writing a Nationals playoff preview on the front page, but I haven't had much free time the last couple weeks. But thinking on it more, I'm still not sure precisely what my gift entails. I made a "fake" article meant to have Justin Wilson stop sucking and he still sucks. And I also made a game thread talking up the Vaunted Brewers and posted it on the front page and we lost that game and got swept in the series.

 

The only mutual results of my real articles and fake articles are that whenever I post on the front page, bad things happen to the Cubs. However, I didn't actually mean the things I posted in my fake articles, so it is still possible that if I honestly spoke glowingly of Strasburg that he would die. It's not a risk I'm willing to take, though. I don't think we need divine intervention to beat them anyway.

I think that only matters when you're purposely saying untrue things to do a reverse jinx. Zobrist genuinely horsefeathering sucks. Those posts were real.
