That is not a great slate of games.

I don't think Maryland will beat Ohio State, but it could be more of a challenge than Buckeye fans are expecting

Northwestern losing big but going to single handedly prevent Barkley from winning the Heisman.

Iowa St is trying to take Mayfield out of the race.

But Barkley left the game with 75 yards rushing and 2 TD's, so not terrible

The targeting rule appears to be a rule against hitting too hard.

Yep. That call against Ohio State was dumb, but they upheld a call in the PSU vs NU game where replay showed that the helmets barely grazed each other. None of these refs know what this rule is supposed to be

Yeah I saw both.

The OSU hit was simply a hard tackle, shoulder to the chest. It looked exactly like what players are taught to do technique wise, just a really hard hit.

I guess I could see the NU one but heck, it’s an effective block right at the heart of the play and like you said the helmets barely touched.

Upholding these on review just tells me that the refs have been instructed to eject players if the hit is hard, not if it’s really a defenseless player. What else could it be; every hit is a “target”

The NU hit wasn't even hard (there were two ejections in that game; the one I'm referencing was the one on the sideline where the NU player pulled up and barely touched helmets)

fans in Kinnick waving to the kids in the hospital is really moving and beautiful

watching the refs and Illini players and coaches doing it today really put a lump in my throat

finding out nobody from the Iowa sideline is participating kind of rubs me the wrong way

The ESPN guys talked an awful lot about ND and their playoff chances today and I refuse to get my hopes up until they beat a good team.

This day is so much like 2015 when Michigan choked against MSU then Cubs lost game 1 of the NLCS.

Michigan 3-17 against rivals since Carr retired. I hate sports.

Don’t drag Michigan’s shitbaggery in to this Cubs dynasty run

you'll get that chance over the next two games for sure

PSU gets a bye week, then runs the gauntlet of Michigan, Ohio State and MSU (the latter two on the road). That's the season right there

This just in: Lovie doesn't appear to be a good college coach.

Hard to hold too much against him when the QB situation is so bad. Unless you want to be upset about not pursuing a 5th year qb, which I think has some merit.
