Is there a reason to not want the Brewers to make the playoffs besides spite?

I think they are better than the Rockies and of the 4 coming out of that side, Dodgers, D’Backs, Brewers, Rockies I’d easily pick the Rockies as the teams to face in the NLCS of the 4 (I know them getting there is unlikely but at least would like them to get in to have a shot at it).

Disagree. The Brewers have 3 pitchers. They have some real quality in the bullpen, but over a 7 game series depth will bite them. Of the possibles, the Brewers are the weakest team imo. But we have to sweep them this weekend anyway, thats just business, and thats gonna make things tough for them.

I think the Rockies are a better constructed team and deserve a playoff berth more.

 

Also, 'besides spite' is like the sports version of 'aside from that how was the play, Mrs. Lincoln?'

The guy they hired to replace Tim Neverett, the former radio play by play guy is horribly boring. Greg Brown at least shows some excitement but will leave Hawk-like pauses between oitches.
