What games are they wearing the gold trim? I love that horsefeathers and they should wear it all year.

Home opener and 2nd home game

oh good a meaningful game in which I won't have to drink loads of booze to survive my nerves. I will just choose to drink loads of booze.

Weather in St. Louis looks decent for the series. Chance of some rain here and there but the temps are in the 60's.

Edit: According to Jesse Rogers it seems Maddon is ready to throw Albert into the fire right away against a tough right handed pitcher, has him slated to bat 9th, pitcher 8th. If there was a time you would think Maddon would go with Jay, this would be it, but I like the confidence Maddon is showing in Albert. Hopefully this is an early sign that Almora is going to be given an early opportunity to be the everyday starter and Jay as the back up.

These people that have won tons of American Royal BBQ awards decided to open a restaurant just down the street from our new house right after we moved in. The BBQ nachos are awesome.

I was really hoping we would wear gold trim for the opening series in St. Louis...

Last year the Royals wore their gold trim for every Friday home game. I'd like the Cubs to do something similar.

So, a 10 spot in the 1st? Too light? Do we get extra tenths of runs this year for our dong length? If not, I'm afraid a bit of apathy may set in and we lose interest by the 5th.....Mercy rule? Surely, that ones been approved for us, right?

I feel as if Theo needs to send out an apology to MLB for the psychological damage the group is going to do to other teams. Divorce rate amongst players at an all time high, wives leaving their supposed baseball men, after realizing they married the lesser talented players......Kids ashamed their dads aren't good enough to play for the Cubs.....

We need to take heed, baseball is now only fun for us.

horsefeathers it. I doubt watching teams in the fetal position all year gets old. Theo must have planned for that too.

Look, that the Cubs' winning it all was part of the Cavs, Patriots and Trump winning it all shows that they truly are the villains that their sport must hate. Might as well embrace it and REALLY bring it on with a minimum five-peat.

This may be the least I have ever looked forward to Opening Day. I know I have seen some people say they are sick of talking about last year and ready to move on, but I'm not even close to being there yet. This season is going to feel different for sure, and I honestly don't know yet what impact that will have on how I watch the games. It still seems like the playoffs were a few weeks ago and I don't know how excited I will be able to get about regular season baseball. Is anyone else feeling the same way or am I the only horsefeathers who isn't counting down the minutes until 7:35pm?
