It's like baseball but all the strategy and stuff actually matters and not just in crusty old people's heads.

 

It's infinitely more tactically diverse because you can hit the ball in any direction with many different types of swings, and you have to defend against them with many different defensive lineups.

 

The bad news is that the best matches go on for five days and frequently end in no result, because you can't win unless you get the other team's lineup all the way out twice and it's relatively easy for them to sandbag and just try to avoid getting out rather than scoring runs. Guys can stay up there just blocking balls and not taking risks for hours.

My prediction is that Harper signs a front loaded contract with multiple opt outs with the Phillies, and then in 2 years he opts out and signs with the Cubs, who need him signed as incentive for Bryant to stick around.

Yeah I think Buster was given BS information or is just making horsefeathers up again (like with the KB trade “rumor”). No way that offer was real, or at least his best/highest offer.
