I made it for game 6... But I'm heading to GA today and back to Germany on Friday. Wish I could make it back for games 3 and 4...

These postseason game times are no fun here in Europe :-(

I'm still trying to talk my dad and uncle into selling our tickets if it goes to a 5th game at Wrigley. Yes, even if it's a clincher; we'll get to go to the previous two (my dad going to both), but Christ, these prices are INSANE, and we could potentially pay for next year's tickets, including adding a third set AND moving to a better spot in the stadium. It was so easy to sell tickets this year, and it'll just get easier if the team stays good.

My buddy is selling games 3 and 5. We picked game 4 because we could clinch and game 5 isn't guaranteed. Would be pissed if we waited until game 5 and it didn't happen.

I don't think you'll be adding any sets or upgrading. Like 3 people gave up their tickets after last year, and I think they died.

Why not sell game 3 instead?

I will be in Cleveland for Game 2, and I want Schwarber DHing.

I want the horsefeathers You Lineup, up 1 game to 0.

Fowler

Bryant

Rizzo

Zobrist

Baez

Schwarber

Contreras

Russell

Heyward

If anyone else will be at this game let me know and lets meet up!

Well horsefeathers, just got a message from my friend and he's going to sell all the tickets now. Pretty horsefeathering disappointed.

I have tickets to games 3 and 4. I looked on Stub Hub and saw that I could make 20 horsefeathering grand off of these... then my wife asked me what my older or younger self would think if they knew that I had a chance to see the Cubs in the World Series and didn't go.

I'm horsefeathering going.

What a dick. I would cease to be friends with him.

Two questions that I know were asked elsewhere, but didn't remember seeing responses:

1) For anyone who went to Wrigleyville during the NLCS to partake in the atmosphere, was it easy to get around and was there a public feed of the game outside the stadium somewhere where you could watch? Also, how difficult was it to leave? Long lines at the train? Difficult to hail a cab? Uber outrageously expensive? I'm trying to gauge how much time I'll have after the games are over to enjoy myself vs. rushing back to Union Station to catch the late night train to the suburbs

2) If we signed up for the playoff ticket lottery are we also signed up for the world series ticket lottery? Also, should we be lucky enough to win, how much are face value ticket prices for bleachers and/or SRO tickets?

Because 3 is the only one my dad and I can go to together.

Cabs and ubers postgame are a complete non-starter. If you walk about a mile, mile and a half, south you can probably find a cab. Ubers are going to be astronomical.

If you're taking the train, walk north to Sheridan, Addison will be a mess.

The lottery goes for all serieses.

ETA: Stay away from Clark, Addison, Halsted, or Sheffield when possible.

sports are awesome and all, but if I could get $20k for tickets, I'd sell those [expletive] in a heartbeat and never regret it

1) Sell all tickets for $20,000

2) Take $20,000 and buy the cheapest tickets you can find to still go to the game

3) Pocket the difference

Fixed for my current situation.

I don't know, money is great and all, but I don't think I could trade a chance of being there for cash. This is the thing that all of us have wanted our whole lives, but suddenly money is better? Come on

Yeah. I sold my game 5 tickets for more than my entire season package + postseason strip.

My wife is also trying talk me into buying a cheaper ticket for myself to games 3 and 5 with the money we made on the one game I sold.

Oh I understand, and I have the utmost respect for not selling, but as a broke ass freelancer for the past several years $20,000 would be a lot of money to ignore for me.

But seriously I don't know how much SRO tickets are going for, but if they are substantially less than regular seats, I'd sell and then buy SRO seats and get the best of both worlds. Of course, StubHub is a mess so getting those tickets I imagine is easier said than done.

Either way, having to make that choice is probably the best choice in the world right now.

fun fact:

The average ticket price to the WS in Chicago is $3870.

The seating capacity to Wrigley is 41,168

The Cubs will be grossing $159,707,160 PER GAME.

Does Cleveland get any of that?

eta: I had bad data
