That was really fantastic. I was mostly busted up over Hendricks not pulling it off just because it would have been such an amazing way to send Fred off, but it was still a great night and I'm glad Len got him in there right at the end when the Cubs won.

I was driving back home tonight during the game (couldn't be a part of the Len tweet storm, but glad to see it went well!), and Coomer was going as close to full blown ripping into West as you'll ever hear him. Talking about how West was putting on a show for no real reason and called it "bad baseball".

He has an uphill battle and something like a no-hitter (plus the fact it'll dip his ERA under 2) would have helped his case immensely

Yeah, I still think that's an overstatement. Hendricks has been getting quite a bit more attention over the last week or so. Plenty of people are seeing what he's doing right now, and his Cy stock has been rising.

 

Example, Bob Nightengale thinks he "secured the Cy Young" last night.
