Scott Bullett was one of my favorites.

The Mets are only 1 back of the Cardinals for WC2, 1.5 back of the Giants for WC1.

I don't want any of those teams in the playoffs. Stupid Marlins couldn't hold it together.

The Mets current rotation is Noah Syndergaard, Bartolo Colon and three guys I've never heard of.

Yeah, and the Mets have that sweet, sweet revenge angle for us.

yeah but deGrom and Matz hypothetically should be back for the playoffs although there seems to keep being setbacks for both of them. I see a scenario where they are both back for a series against the Cubs but they aren't very sharp and we crush them. Still, if they are back and throwing well deGrom, Matz, Syndergaard, Colon, deGrom is fairly formidable. Just not enough to beat the Super Cubs.

They really dont scare me. Even their offense is a shell of the mediocre bunch that faced the Cubs last year.

The Mets as currently constructed don't really scare me, but I somewhat worry about them if we play them in the DS because it likely means at least 2 of Syndergaard and either Matz or DeGrom are healthy and pitching well to get them there. But yeah I don't really care who we play.

The overall MLB standings are hilariously ridiculous.

The Cubs are 51-20 at home. 38-28 on the road. If the Cubs had lost every single one of their road games, they'd be 51-86... which is still a half-game better than the Twins.

Other interesting note, the Cubs are closer to eliminating the Cardinals from the division than the Cardinals are to eliminating the 57-80 Padres from the Wild Card.

I'm not scared of anyone in that sense. I don't think specific match ups are going to matter all that often in the short series playoffs.

I just don't want the Cardinals to have a chance to reverse last year, the Mets to repeat it, or another mediocre Giants team to get lucky and seem like special winners.

Go Pirates and Marlins, I guess?

At this point, it's basically a 90% chance that the wild card game will consist of two of the Giants/Cards/Mets. Half of the remaining 10% is that the Giants catch the Dodgers.

yeah, it is what it is at this point. i'll take the cardinals, send the idiot mets home, and screw the even year [expletive]. becoming the 90's bulls to the cardinals' knicks will have to do.

I was disappointed that Timmons had such a high jersey number so I couldn't use him as well.

It is so annoying that the Rangers are that close to the Cubs with their +26 RD. If we had their luck we would be 134-4. Probably more annoying because I know some Rangers fans who think their team is just one good week away from being as good as the Cubs.

Imagine being an Astros or Mariners fan.
