I got a lot of netflix shows to catch up on this summer anyway.

Tired arm while the Cubs old horses gonna all go 200 innings again.

Pitching is dumb

They seem to be getting closer to self awareness. Or maybe apathy is closer to self awareness than delusion by default.

lol... Matt Harvey was throwing 95 in the first inning and now is 90-91 in the second, and he's walking everyone. Apparently Gsellman was 93-94 early on yesterday and 89-90 later in the game, too.

Dave Roberts keeps saying that Rich Hill could be used in a bullpen role in order to keep Alex Wood in the rotation.

If that were to happen he would immediately become the 4th highest paid reliever in baseball.

My town's police chief seems to think it's the trainers' fault

I'd say the majority of MetsRefugees thinks that's the case too. And it's not, you know, that they built their roster with players who are aging, have injury history's already and their strength is built on a position that has a high attrition rate. But it's the trainers fault for not enough pre-game stretching.

Part of the problem is that the team continually lies about these injuries. Like with Syndergaard, they just decided last minute to flip the rotation order yesterday, then today it was because of a tired arm, and then bicep soreness, and then Syndergaard couldn't lift his arm above his shoulder. It's like that with every single one of their injuries. So they've lost all trust with the fan base. I don't think their training staff is causing these injuries. Like you said, they just have a horrible roster full of aging, injury-prone players and a ton of pitchers with extensive injury histories.

Cespedes just came up hobbling trying to run into 2B on a ball to the gap he probably wasn't even running full speed on.

We might need to set up a Mets injury thread. It would be as long as the pitcher injury thread in no time.
