According to some vocal posters on bleacher nation, Kyle is essentially Greg Maddux. So that's cool.

They mean 34 year old Maddux

It isn't completely crazy to make the comparison to a mid-30's Maddux, and I don't think anyone would be disappointed with that being Hendricks' ceiling. Multiple years of mid-30's Maddux from a cost-controlled player who was essentially a trade throw-in... I'll take it.

Hendricks had an interview about the tracksuit thing today on espn and he was smiling the whole time. I know I read somewhere about how someone really enjoys seeing the rare Hendricks grin.

Kyle Hendricks' current MLB ranks:

fWAR: 16th

RA9-WAR: 29th

ERA: 25th

FIP: 14th

xFIP: 19th

25th in era that means he's a no. 1 starter nice

it'd be cool if he keeps it up so 5 years from now we'll all reminisce about the year we had starters finish 4-5-6 in the Cy Young voting*

*Jake and Jon will probably ruin it

I'd rather reminisce about the 5 championships we just won rather than individual awards, but whatever

Kyle Hendricks: Unqualified Ace

Maybe Unrecognized Ace cuz I kinda feel like he's qualified

He probably meant he's an ace without need of a qualifier (such as "he doesn't throw hard"). But that is a weird word, unqualified.

He's doing so well Javy is thinking about remembering his name.

Fun fact he thought he was the bat boy here.

smh double meaning he's not conceivably qualified to be an ace cause he looks to suffer from lethargy but he actually needs no qualifier to his ace-dom what's wrong with you people
