The Cubs are everything that I've hated about baseball the last 20 years or so. Team with a large payroll that is buying the world series.

The mental gymnastics people have been displaying to downplay or hate on the Cubs this year has been truly something to behold. I wonder if Will Leitch would still rather have the cardinals roster instead of the Cubs.

i find the whole over-the-top camo oo-rah thing really distasteful so thats what I marshal when I want to dislike them for something

 

I know this has nothing to do about their fans but I hate the franchise because of 1984 alone even though I was too young. Hate how one of the only successes in their entire franchise history was at our expense.

 

Also they lost playoff series to the Cardinals twice in the 00's including the year their 83 win POS team won the world series

Blergh, I can't complain too much if this one gets canceled after yesterday, but tomorrow is looking bad too so I have no idea how they're gonna make up so many games.

 

Would be nice to get 3 days off out of 4 to get everyone up to speed.

How angry would Wrigley Traditionalists get if they build a retractable roof over Wrigley?

 

Maybe one day they'll "renovate" Wrigley like they did Soldier Field, i.e. completely demolish it and leave just some outside stuff and drop a spaceship in the middle of it

Damn. Cubs and Padres have a common off day next Monday with the Padres playing in Milwaukee on Sunday and the Cubs at home. On Tuesday the Cubs would go to Milwaukee and the Padres back to SD.

 

If it was a 1:20 start it would be plenty of time for the Padres to get home and play a 9:00 start the next night.

 

Now we will be off Monday, Thursday and next Monday. 2nd time in 3 weeks that we will have 3 off days in an 8 day span. Thanks Chicago weather
