David Ross is Mr. Belding. Joe Maddon is Max. John Lackey still hasn't transferred over from Valley yet.

if rizzo were zach and belding were theo, we could call the red sox JFK junior high and francona miss bliss

theo as mr belding is a huge reach, though.

Ricketts is obviously Belding.

Theo is Beldings cool brother.

Good luck getting a ball through the left side of the infield when Javy and Addison are both over there.

I've seen this happen a number of times, where Javy's spectacular play prevented Addison from making his own spectacular play.

I love him so much. And his use of twitter is hilarious. He uses it exclusively to either retweet people that talk about how amazing he is or to brag after he does amazing things.

This made me laugh:

Even at first, a position where before this season he had played only one inning professionally, Baez does something that Maddon says cannot be taught, slapping tags so firmly on runners during pickoff attempts that after three or four tries the runner will hurt.

This makes me swoon. Teams are going to hate the Cubs.

At least when Montero leaves and we lose his total bizarre weirdness, we'll have Javy's weirdness

Uh, what total bizarre weirdness?

He says some funny things on twitter, and sometimes they come across strangely because english is not his native language.

I have to admit, after 2014 I gave up on him as a potential useful player in the future (shocking that I would be pessimistic about something I know, but I wasnt alone), and it has taken me a long time to feel fully comfortable with him but I am completely on board now. I never would have imagined he would be a 3 win player this year (at 1.9 on FG, 2.2 on BR currently). Obviously he has his flaws, he's never going to walk a bunch, he's always going to have those ABs where he is overmatched from the start and swinging at junk, but overall he is a damn good player and hopefully will get even better. He still only has 675 major league PAs.

The upside to Soler and schwarber getting injured is all the extra time Javy has gotten. I've always thought of him as a guy that would need lots of at bats at the MLB level to refine his approach. I would have never guessed he would improve as rapidly as he has. It makes me think he can still get better too.
