The Super Cubs roll into Arizona to take on LaRussa's Diamondbacks.

The Cubs will start John "It's like the friend whose an horsefeathers, but he's our horsefeathers" Lackey in his Cubs debut. He will attempt to become the next former Cardinal that we will feel awkward about rooting for until he does well and we just get over it.

The Diamondbacks will start someone named Rubby, which is what chicks do when they watch the Cubs play baseball.

Go Cubs!

Everytime I hear that the 84 Tigers started 35-5, I don't understand how it could be possible.

What was our record during that crazy run in August/Sept last year?

We had a 21-4 stretch, which I think was as good as it got.

The Dodgers in 2013 went 42-8 during a stretch, which actually sounds a lot less impressive than 35-5, although its really going 35-5 and then going 7-3 in their next 10.

The 1906 Cubs actually hold the record for best 50 game stretch in MLB history at 45-5.

Jonesin' for a line up. Maddon needs to get these things up quicker. I guess I'll go look at stats and see how our guys are doing so far. I'm sad we aren't averaging a run per inning anymore, but Arizona baseball should help that. Although there appears to be weather there while the Cubs are in town.

I did learn how to get games on my smart tv, but there was both lag and a bit of jittery screen. That's through a Roku streaming stick. I wonder if it would be better going through my computer with an HDMI cable. I only toyed with it for a short period of time since the games are on MLB EI.

Not sure how early you expect the lineups out, but you are going to be waiting awhile if you expect one today.

Also Chase Field has a roof

Yes, but I seem to recall that Chase is more of a hitter's park with the roof open and more neutral when closed. And I know the schedule. Been trying to figure out a way to get to a game, but it's just not going to happen this time out west.

Yeah, I believe its still a hitter's park with the roof closed, but becomes a bandbox when opened.

Not that the Cub hitters need any help clearing the outfield wall or anything. I was just pointing out that there might be some weather.

Lackey/RDLR

Hammel/Ray

Hendricks/Greinke

Arrieta/Miller

Is that right? Or does Hendricks go Friday?

I believe that's right.
