Was going to order a Cubs World Series tee and pay for next day shipping to wear during the series...but [expletive] mlb.com shop says they won't ship until next week. WTH!

Did you try any local or national sports gear providers?

I probably will when I get home. Not much time in the day for it. Will try to call Wrigleyville Sports when I get a chance.

If anyone is interested in some Al Yellon/BCB/Nick Vlahos internet drama, this Twitter thread is kinda awesome....

Oh man, this sent me down a rabbit hole looking through that moron Vlahos's posts on there. After thousands of posts (from what I can tell, all whining about Theo's "plan"), over years and years, his last post was on July 6, 2015. What a miserable person.

The BCB logo looks like some kind of twisted, inflamed testicle.

SB comment sections are baffling.

That's all I have to add to this nonsense.

Holy horsefeathers. I can't sleep

Same here. It's FINALLY starting to sink in. I don't think it fully will until I see the first pitch. It all just seems like a dream.

Who is Al Yellon & does anybody have links to some of Vlahos' asshat posts. That guy is terrible, actively rooying for Addison Russell to be a bust cause we dared trade Shark for him.

Al Yellon is the head writer for Bleed Cubbie Blue, the Cubs' SB Nation site. He is a moron. And, apparently, while being an idiot on twitter, Vlahos was also an idiot on Bleed Cubbie Blue, under the moniker "Not Bruce Froemming."

Here is a sampling of his stupid thoughts, from the Samardzija trade thread over there:

http://www.bleedcubbieblue.com/2014/7/4/5872043/cubs-trade-jeff-samardzija-jason-hammel-athletics

Just laugh and shake my head.

What I post doesn't matter. Stupid trades are a little more consequential. Joke.

Nobody who's big-league ready and nobody who can pitch? Joke.

After being told that Dan Straily is both of those things:

I sit corrected. Didn’t realize that. Sorry for overlooking it. Not sorry for still being underwhelmed.

Tack another year or two on the Infinite Rebuild™, it appears.

So the part of the deal that he liked was the Dan Straily part and not the Addison Russell part.

I remember Yellon as the most prominent poster in the cubs newsgroups back in the day. I went there after I got rid of AOL and got regular dial up internet. No more AOL message boards.

Then after that it was ESPN.com/Cubs.com.

Sorry if I am a bit off topic, I am coming in tomorrow from Denver and looking to grab some gear. I assume Wrigleyville will be over priced as usual. Whats a good spot between O'Hare, downtown and Wrigleyville? Thanks guys.

If you want WS gear, anything is going to be overpriced, not sure Wrigleyville will gougue you anymore than elsewhere... are you relying on public transit?

Yes, taking the blue line from O'Hare to downtown and meet some friends (that's the best public transportation, correct?). So I will be downtown tomorrow and Wrigleyville on Friday. Thanks!
