We currently having 16 players playing at least at a 3-win pace, according to fWAR.

....how many players in the league are currently playing at a 3-win pace? I really want us to have like 20-25% of them.

Not quite that much. It's king of hard to narrow it down exactly, since some guys have played either fewer or more games than the Cubs, and some starting pitchers have already made 5 starts, while some are at 4.

But, there are 156 players that have been worth at least 0.5 fWAR so far. 14 are Cubs.

Best 22-game starts in modern baseball history:

Didn't Detroit start 35-5 one year? I don't see them on the list.

Their run differential at this point was only 65, so they didn't make the top 5.

didn't notice it was sorted on run differential, thought it was record.

I shouldn't use my one comment a week so early on a Saturday.

Fun stat I saw in a trib article:

Three times the Cubs have taken 10 or more walks in a game, best in the big leagues and equal to the number of times they did it combined from 2010-15.

I've, obviously, been a big fan of the run differential. +79, that's pretty awesome. But, even more pleasant, aesthetically, is seeing our runs scored and runs allowed written out, in full. We've outscored teams 136-57. That is absurd.

Len pointed that out on Thursday or Friday.

Cubs are 20-6

2015 Cubs didn't win their 20yh game until game 35 (20-15 on May 15)

2015 Cubs weren't 14 over .500 until game 110 (62-48 on August 9)

Without schwarber or Montero. And with a flaccid Heyward

Pirates scored 5 runs all series. Cubs scored over 5 runs each game of the series. Cubs could have given the Pirates 27 innings per game and still swept.

So over 26 games, the Cubs have allowed 66 runs, for an average of 2.54 runs per game.

Keep in mind, they gave up 13 in 1 game. In the other 25, they are averaging allowing 2.12 runs per game.

...on the flip side, they're on pace to score 990 runs, which would only be the 10th most since 1913 (the top 9 is mostly the 1930s Yankees).

All these stats/factoids are awesome and the crazy thing is other than the pitching a little bit and Fowler nobody is way outperforming what they should be doing and there's not a lot of negative regression to be prepared for, if anything it's mostly positive regression we are in store for. #WeAreGood

Its weird to expect good things to happen for so many years I just was waiting for crappy things to happen like Kyle getting hurt but this team is built in a way that it can overcome the usual blips or setbacks ...this weekend should be fun

How the Cubs stack up at each position among NL teams in terms of WAR:

8,1,5,2,5,8,1,11

Heyward's primary position has the lowest ranking so far.

[expletive] DH is dragging this team to its death

You can blame Jorge for 2 of our 3 worst positions relative to other NL teams.
