The Baltimore Orioles have allowed 5 runs or more in 19 consecutive games, now one short of a MLB record.

I can't even fathom that being possible.

It took them 2 innings to get there tonight.

The sad part is Baltimore has absolutely nothing in the minors for pitching. Hunter Harvey who hasn't even totaled 5IP in the last couple years is still very likely their #1 pitching prospect and Cody Sedlock, their 1st rounder from last year, is not exactly thriving at A+. If they chose to keep Machado through 2018 that is going to be one hell of a long rebuild for Baltimore.

Thought this was funny.

Sandoval, who was an often noisy and boisterous presence during his time with the club, departed as a free agent after that season. Pence has suffered a number of injuries in recent years and declined offensively, making it difficult for him to be as vocal as he was in the past. Some with the Giants muse that the team even misses Angel Pagan, who created an odd sort of unity because most of the players disliked him.

Chris Sale does not shake off the catcher

ever

Heading into Monday night’s outing against the Minnesota Twins, Sale hadn’t shaken off once this year. Tyler Flowers, who was behind the plate for 8,726 of Sale’s pitches for the Chicago White Sox between 2010 and 2015, said that over that entire span, Sale shook him off exactly once, sometime around 2014.

“I don’t want to disclose the reason,” said Flowers, now with the Atlanta Braves. “But there was one time, and it was for a specific reason.”

Has there ever been a rookie season the likes of that which Aaron Judge appears destined? Not even half way through the season, and he has 27 dongs, .333/.449/.704 and a 4.8 WAR. Damn.

I keep expecting him to slump or something but he doesn't. I looked to see how much Yankee Stadium helps him, and it gives him and almost .400 bump in OPS.

Of course, that's .950 road OPS to a 1.330 home OPS.

I really enjoy watching Cody Bellinger hit baseballs

I hate him and Judge and Seager and all the other young bats deemed sexier than our young bats.

Green waves and waves of envy.

Think Dusty will have one of his dudes give a little payback to one of our dudes? Or was Jeimer the dude today?

No, I don't believe Dusty does that or can't recall him doing that when he was with the Cubs. I mean he's old school for sure so maybe he believes in the stupid "eye-for-an-eye" retaliation.

The pitch that hit Jeimer was just a bad pitch. Treinen has poor control this year and missed badly. The whole Washington bullpen blows this year lol
