Yeah I changed my mind, decent send, terrible attempt at scoring by Castro (I'd say terrible slide but he didn't even attempt one)

Not a stupid send with Ross and Lester coming up.

Of course it was; that's Cespedes' bread & butter.

If Castro had controlled himself turning through 3rd at all, he would have been safe because Cespedes did not make a good throw.

Damn it. Castro should've been at third to beigin with.

I didn't want to sound like Kaplan, but yeah, he probably should have.

But that was a stupid send by Jones, not the first of the year, either.

It went over cf and it was a horrible throw home. No excuse.

the send was fine, make them play good defense. My complaint is it didn't seem like there was any lane to the plate... thought that was the rule now...

Wtf I feel like if Castro slides to the inside of the plate he's safe

But he didn't even slide

It would have just been an even easier tag.

You really think so? If he slides to the inside and tries to get his hand in there?

we got the momentum, shut down inning for Lester and the bats will pick it back up. Edited by Brian

I don't agree that the send was fine because "make them play defense". Cespedes has a rocket of an arm and lives to make those throws. If you are going to say the send was fine, it's because Ross and Lester were due up.

He basically had no lane to the plate.

At first I thought you were talking about the groundout. Then I realized you mean he should have had a triple. And yeah, if he goes right out of the box, he's on third. Probably thought it was going to be a simple catch for the CFer.

I love Castro, but he has to be on 3B before the Javy hit. It's getting really old.

The ovethrown relay went straight to Harvey, and he got chased back to the base by Wright, 0% chance for him to get to third before then.
