Someone posted a GRB article and I noticed their game thread and found a couple nuggets

This prompted me to go over there and read a bit.

Board makeup seems familiar: a mix of down to earth realists with a slight Cards bias and overreacting zealots.

Just like here.

This game isn't even pissing me off it's the fact that I'm getting literally 4-5 notifications on my phone for every home run they hit

Bleacher Report! MLB at bat! ESPN! MLB at bat again! ESPN again! STOPPPPP

gold.

I didn't realize that there were sigs included in that text and just kept thinking to myself " WILL SOMEBODY GET THIS MAN A 1985 CARDINALS DVD ALREADY?"

Are we sure that Twitter didn't autocorrect the word "dong" to be "dog"? If he meant dong, then it could have been named "Major Cardinal Heartbreak".

Strangely, this idea was also posted in the game thread.

Really? I just read this and the thought came to my mind brain. Everyone in here clearly has dongs on the brain.

I live in and area where there is a mix of Cubs and Cardinals fans. Which finally paid off got to see some funny stuff on fbook.

During the series my sister created #cardinalsfanswives where they kept talking crap but most of their husbands stayed quiet because they knew they were in touble.

I bounced back with #cardinalsfansconcessionspeech for all the cardinals fans who posted after the game to let everyone know the Cardinals still had 11 rings and Cubs haven't won in 100 years. Also to let us know this didn't mean they would cheer for the Cubs.

One of my favorite people wrote theses:

Before Game 1: So excited for this series the start! Go BIRDS!!!!!!!!!

Before Game 2: I'm feeling a sweep!!! Go BIRDS!!!!!

After Game 3: I'm not even upset. I was worried but then I realized the Cardinals are just setting it up to win in St. Louis in front of their fans.

Late in Game 4: Are their pitchers really wearing their hats banged to the side, nice Cubs.

The lesson is when you are about to lose complain about hats. Haha!!

I had to stop keeping up with the game thread around the third inning, and I'm only just now caught up. I just wanted to share a few random thoughts:

- My 2-yr-old daughter followed game three so closely on the radio (talk we were on the road 12 hrs that day) that when we got out of the car, she was able to repeat to me that "Addison Russell hurt himself and he can't play outside anymore."

- My 7-yr-old son's giddy, laughter-ridden interpretation of this series is that the Cardinals have been sent to their rooms for the winter.

- DONGDONGDONGDONGDONGDONG

- This site is an important part of my enjoyment of the Cubs for the last 12 years, having been active duty the whole time and never in Chicago more than a few days a year. Thanks to Tim and everyone who keeps posting here. This game was the single greatest sports fan moment of my life, and the experience wasn't complete for me until I got caught up here.

My 8 year old son was rooting for the Cards to force a game 5, because he wanted more win or go home games, since the wild card game against the Pirates was so fun to watch.

I told him that one win or go home game for the Cubs is enough for one playoffs. Let the other teams have theirs.

The flippist really should've known to include the bat flip
