I have decided to make the trip down to St Louis for the game tomorrow. Trying to get a seat for <$150 a ticket, just missed out on a pair in 437 for $149 each after fees on StubHub. Anyone else going down there tomorrow?

God, I am so pumped for today. I obviously prefer a Cubs win (especially a clinching one) to be at Wrigley with "Go Cubs Go" blaring ... but is there anything sweeter than beating the Cardinals in St. Louis and watching all those stunned red shirts sit there in disbelief? \:D/

Let's go get win 1 out of 11 tonight.

@DavidHaugh: TBS also reports Cubs-Cardinals Game 1 was most viewed NLDS G1 since 2008 (5.4 million total viewers).

I don't remember where this stuff was talked about, but I definitely remember seeing it somewhere. If Cubs/Cards outdrew Mets/Dodgers in prime time, that's pretty cool.

Well I mean on the east coast the Cubs game was on from 6:30-9:30 and the mets/Dodgers drom 9:30-12:30 so at least for game 1, the Cubs game was more "primetime" than the Mets/dodgers

Isn't that really incredible given Friday isn't a good night for TV?

Im just going to guess this, but the views for Monday should be historical. Its Cubs vs Cards AND its Jake so that will add even more viewers.

Not if it's an afternoon game, unfortunately.

If we win today I propose thead title is changed to "Guys were beating the Cardinals in the playoffs" and if we win changed to "Guys we just beat the Cardinals in the playoffs"

Guys... what if we win today? What if we take out the Cardinals in the first round? Are there any other teams in the league that you feel like we can't beat?

I don't think I'm ready for a world series. I was thinking we could be legit contenders next year, but this is too soon.

The playoffs are still a crapshoot to a degree so anything can happen but it certainly helps your odds to have the best team and best pitcher

We already beat the only team in baseball that might have been better than us. At this point it's just enjoying the ride and hoping the dice roll goes our way.
